Home to Southwest Florida's Largest Auto Shredder

Garden Street Iron & Metal will soon be home to the only auto shredder in Southwest Florida. Due to the shredder's massive size it's parts must be shipped individually and built on site. The construction of the shredder will be a three month process with an estimated completion date of early 2008.
The massive 5,000 horse power motor allows the shredder to process 120-150 tons of material an hour, with a downstream system that includes dual eddy-current and an ISS (Induction Sorting System) with the latest technology that separates non-ferrous metals from waste stream; therefore reducing the amount material destined for the landfill.

Broadening the Horizon

Garden Street Iron & Metal will be expanding it's market share into the junk car sector. As we prepare to embark on the company's greatest new venture, our Fort Myers, FL location continues to expand. Garden Street is expanding to twenty four from it's original nine acres.
